Established in 2003, we are one of the region’s leading association management companies, providing a full range of community management services. We manage a mixture of clients including condos, townhomes, and planned unit developments throughout Central Oregon. We bring lasting value and peace of mind to the communities we manage.

James Bemis

President

Jim manages the homeowner’s association operations of Mile High Community Management. His focus is on business development through the coordination and implementation of the HOA policies; while streamlining these policies so they are consistent with the governing documents of the HOA, and the state statues.

The wealth of knowledge, of over 30 years of self- employment, including experience in residential and small commercial construction, and mortgage finance has instilled in him the value of integrity and ethics in business. His depth of understanding of property management, finance, and accounting practices ensures the successful management of each association. As a leader, he has proven that he can handle the pressure of tight deadlines, and the multiplicity of tasks, while never losing sight of the vision of Mile High Community Management; to be the leading home owner’s association management company in Central Oregon.

Heather Bennett

Senior Association Manager

From the time Heather joined the Mile High Community Management team in 2009 her main focus within the company has been administrative and community management. In addition, Heather assists with financial and bookkeeping services, enhanced by her extensive knowledge of community law and ordinance. With over fourteen years of customer service experience, as well as ten years of management experience, she has been an outstanding member of our team.

Heather has an unparalleled ability to maintain discipline in stressful situations, but more than that, she genuinely enjoys helping others achieve their goals. Her attention to detail, proven communication skills, and her problem solving ability create a genuine trust between homeowners and their manager. At Mile High Community Management, we believe this to be the cornerstone of our business.

Audra Bemis

Office Manager

As office manager for Mile High Community Management, Audra provides operational excellence and superb customer service to our team members and clients. Her focus is on developing a strong working relationship between board members, homeowners, and property managers. She serves as an agent for the homeowner associations and provides service to both the board and their residents.

Audra is a native of Bend Oregon. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oregon State University with an emphasis in accounting and business administration. Audra is an active member of the Community Association Institute. She started her first business, Clarity and Solutions, at the age of 18 where she managed the finances and administrative work of small businesses.

When she is not working Audra enjoys exploring the great outdoors of Central Oregon.

Marika Spragg

Accounts Manager

Marika is responsible for monthly financial records for a portfolio of associations and assists our community managers with budget preparation and financial statement analysis. She frequently collaborates with outside accountants for tax and audit preparation as well as maintains accounts payable for over 20 associations.

Marika is an innovative and driven accounting professional with more than 13 years of experience in accounting and small business management. Marika strives to incorporate new ideas and technologies to better serve the accounting needs of each association.

Marika enjoys supporting the local community through regular volunteer work, exploring our larger worldwide community, hiking, camping, biking, and kayaking.

Bradley Bemis

Staff Accountant

Bradley is a Staff Accountant and Compliance Manager for Mile High Community Management. His role is to oversee the financial affairs of the home owner associations including: managing the general ledger, performing multiple bank reconciliations, analysis and preparation of financial statements for the homeowner’s associations. In addition, he reviews the association’s books, assists in preparing the association’s annual budget, and provides input into the budgeting process.

Bradley is a native of Bend, Oregon. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oregon State University where his focus of study was accounting and business administration.

Bradley is forever a student and admirer of the guitar and music. Over the years, Bradley has received instruction in blues, rock, jazz, classical guitar, and music theory from some of the most experienced instructors in the Pacific Northwest.
